My science project is about the Thorium Reactor. The thorium reactor is a step up from a nuclear reactor. This reactor is a lot greener then the nuclear reactor. It produces less than 1% of hazardous waste that today’s uranium reactors set off. It is a lot smaller and less expensive too. The main reason they are building the reactor is because it is less prone to disaster. The means it has a less chance of Chernobyl or 3 mile island happening again. The project is by the Chinese academy of sciences. They are the leaders in this project and our hoping to make a cleaner world.
